Unearthed recently from underneath a disco in Istanbul, this woodblock print is part of a propaganda campaign from the little known, yet greatly important "Chip's Ahoy Revolution." Roughly translated, it says "Eat Cookies or We Will Shoot Your Head." Truly, a sad chapter from a bleak period in history.



(****clarification: my little blurb of fiction above seems to have confused some people-- No I did not find this in Istanbul, Yes, i did in fact make it- right here in super-exotic Kansas City. The blocks were carved into Cherry wood with an Xacto #11 blade and printed on a Vandercook SP-15 Letterpress... I have original, hand printed versions of these for sale for $20 plus shipping, available in several color schemes!)
